2020 R1

 

 In case you were not aware, It's here!  Acumatica 2020 R1 is now available for download. Acumatica has made enhancement to all its industry suites—i.e., manufacturing, distribution, e-Commerce, construction, etc. There has also been enhancement made to financials, project accounting, reporting and the introduction of its new payroll platform build from the ground up.

90 Minds held their 9th annual conference, “The Meeting of the Minds” in San Diego last week. The big news out 90 Minds is the announcement of what to expect in the upcoming release of Sage 100 2020 this Spring. Timothy Hartfield, Sage Product Marketing Manager (pictured above), announced some highlights on what to expect.

Every year Acumatica begins its annual summit with the Hackathon. Acumatica’s Hackathon brings together the Acumatica development community for a friendly competition. Developers in the community are put into teams and during a 2-day period are presented with the challenge of developing a unique solution for Acumatica on the fly.

Payroll for 2020 R1

Acumatica introduced its new payroll module at their annual summit last week in Las Vegas. The new payroll module replaces the legacy payroll module that was acquired last year from PC Bennet. Like its predecessor the new payroll module is developed on the native development platform-- built from the ground up by the development team at Acumatica with live customers. Acumatica Payroll will be officially available upon release of Acumatica 2020 R1.

Here are some of the distinguishing features in the new payroll:

Day two at the annual Acumatica summit brought more news and exhibition of things to come in Acumatica and in the impending 2020 R1 release. Acumatica is emphasizing a number of elements in their product strategy with particular emphasis on AI: 

User Experience - Improving user interface performance 

Automation and Personalization– Machine learning—e.g., text recognition; over time process will become more automated as tendencies are learned. Pre-built integrations

Usability enhancements to 2020 R1 include: the ability to set your own data refresh, CRM launch from directly from the menu to reduce clicks, pull in side panels with more detail, real time file image capture from mobile device

There was lots of big news from Day 1 at Acumatica’s annual summit. Headlining the news was Acumatica’s introduction of their newly developed and integrated payroll module (stay tuned for a future article on payroll) and its acquisition of JAAS Systems, the developer of Acumatica’s manufacturing module. There was lots of big news from opening day of Acumatica Summit 2020.

Headlining the news was Acumatica’s introduction of their newly developed and integrated payroll module (stay tuned for infrotmation on payroll) and its acquisition of JAAS Systems, the developer of Acumatica’s manufacturing module. John Roskill (CEO) kicked things off with a reveal of some of the improvements made to the Acumatica platform & global function, and module editions in version 2020 R1. Acumatica’s install base has grown to 6,5000 has averaged a year over year growth of over 70% in the past few years.

YASC (Yardi Advanced Solution Conference) celebrated its 20th anniversary last month in San Diego. Yardi kicked off the milestone event by showcasing developments in “Elevate” and how it is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) or what Yardi has coined asset intelligence with the Voyager platform.

Yardi Bill Pay and Mastercard

Yardi Voyager now has AP paperless vendor payments using Mastercard through its Bill Pay Service. Yardi teamed up with Mastercard in order to give distributors faster payments and reconciliation tools to ensure seamless electronic transactions for all parties. All that is required from the end user is to initiate the payment in Voyager and Yardi Bill Pay then completes the transaction.
