Coming SoonIn just a few weeks Sage will be releasing the latest version of Sage 100 ERP and there is much to be excited about. Version 2015 comes with a long list of new feature, workflow, usability and system enhancements; in fact too many to list in this article. There are more than 60 new enhancements in the 2015 release so whatever role one serves in Sage 100 ERP is certain to benefit from it. The 2015 release stands as the most comprehensive upgrade to Sage 100 ERP in recent years. New feature enhancements have been applied to most modules. Many of the new enhancements are a direct result of customer feedback. Here is a shortlist of new features in version 2015:

sage logoIt was just a year ago that Sage casually introduced mobile service to its suite of mobile apps. Sage Mobile Service joined Sage Mobile Sales and Sage Billing & Payment in a push to bring customers to the cloud through connected services. Last week Sage unceremoniously announced the retirement of Sage Mobile Service effective immediately.  Sage stated they will provide support to current subscribers until May 31st. 

handshakeSage has entered into a partnership with Salesforce in an effort to maintain its competitive place in the mid-market ERP environment. In recent years Sage’s numbers have slipped in the advent of cloud based financial solutions in the likes of Netsuite, FinancialForce, Intacct, and Xero. In a press release to partners, Sage states their plans to adopt Salesforce CRM and collaboration tools for internal use as well as leverage the Salesforce 1 platform to broaden their capability in delivering cloud solutions to the small and mid-market.

For each Sage 100 ERP company, it is important that the “Retain Perpetual History” option is activated in order to meet 2015 Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements. This feature ensures that you will be collecting the proper data as they process their first payroll in 2015.

The Retain Perpetual History option is found in Payroll Setup Options, screen shot below. Additional details will be provided in early December.

Sage Intelligence logoComing this week on February 3rd, Sage Is set to release the latest version of Sage Enterprise Intelligence—version 7.0. Sage Enterprise Intelligence integrates with Sage 300 ERP, Sage 500 ERP and Sage ERP X3.

Payroll image 2Sage Software announced last week its acquisition of PayChoice. PayChoice is a web-based and mobile payroll application and full service payroll and human resource provider based in NJ with offices in 12 states.
