Since Yardi launched its latest version of Voyager™ over a year ago, it has either upgraded existing users or deployed new installations at a number approaching 2,000. Although Voyager™ has always been web native, 7S represents a transition for Yardi. Yardi has gone from being primarily an application service provider and shifting its focus to Software as a Service model—i.e., SaaS, hence, Voyager 7S™.
This year Yardi applied new HUD regulations to the affordable module. These new features were first presented at Yardi's Spring conference in DC. New affordable provisions were annoucned in 2012, however, the incorporation of the new guidelines had been delayed due to the final review process being condutced by the Office of Management and Budget.
Yardi Genesis2™ is now officially availble for purhcase. Yardi's latest incarnation of Genesis is being made exclusively available as Software as a Service to small and mid-sized companies. Genesis2 was built in-house on the Voyager platform but with a scaled down easy to use interface without all the big company comlexities and cost.
Just like the original Genesis, Yardi Genesis2 is equipped with a powerful set of core financials, strong security, dashboards, improved analytics and reporting, maintenance and work orders, automated and resident workflows and more. Genesis2 supports the following portfolio types: multiufamily, condo and commerical. Unlike its predecessor with Genesis2 you have the option to integrate it with a number of the same connected services available to Voyager. These services include Rent Cafe, Yardi Resident Screening, Yardi Payment Prcoessing, and Yardi CHECK scan. For a free preview of Genesis2 visit Yardi's Website for a schedule of times.
Yardi Systems recent acquisition of Centershift Software officially brings Yardi into the self-storage management software fold. The acquisition of Centershift is another example of Yardi's efforts to meet the needs of its diverse client base. Currently Yardi has been accommodating clients with self-storage facilities on their Voyager commerical product.
Centershift is expected to help Yardi increase its presence in the self-storage marketplace and serve as an extension to Yardi's multi-faceted flagship solution. Centershift is an industry leading web application designed specifically for the self-storage management industry. They offer two options: Store Advantage for one or few storage sites and Store Enterprise for multiple facilities. Centershift continues a trend of mergers intended to increase Yardi’s leverage as the leading software solution across the real estate industry. Other products to join the Yardi fold in recent years includes Point2, Visual Homes, Popcard and MSG utility billing to a name a few.
