2018 was another huge year for Acumatica starting with its second consecutive CODiE award for best cloud ERP solution and brought in another for best manufacturing software. In 2018 Acumatica received very high marks for customer satisfaction from both Gartner and G2Crowd. Acumatica was also the recipient of $25 million in Series C funding for product R & D. A number of enhancement highlights in 2018 R2 were expanded UDF (user defined field) capabilities. UDFs were limited to class in prior releases and now UDFs can be added to almost any entity. There is added functionality to reporting and generic inquiries. A report can be created from a generic inquiry and side panels have been added to generic inquiry to give quicker access to information by cutting down the number clicks and takes away all the drilling that was required in previous releases in order to find detail—e.g., customer records. Acumatica 2018 R2 has improved workflows to improve the way modules speak to each other and advanced fulfillment was added as a standard feature to the core distribution product. These are just a handful of the new features now available in Acumatica 2018 R2.

Be on the lookout for more new features and achievements in 2019. A quick reminder that ODBC database access for Acumatica SaaS license holders will be retired in March. More to come when you we get closer to that fork in the road.
