For years, AWS users have been asking to run macOS on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), and now their prayers have been answered. As of Nov 30, AWS has launched a new Mac instance powered by a Mac mini hardware and the AWS Nitro System.
Users can utilize Amazon EC2 Mac instances to build, test, package, and sign Xcode applications for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, and Safari. These instances employ the 8th gen Intel Core i7 processor with turbo boost up to 4.6 GHz and a memory of 32 GiB (or 34 GB). Run Mac on macOS Mojave OR Catalina and use AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon FSx for Windows File Server, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), AWS Systems Manager, and more.
Deploy EC2 Max instances from the command line in the time it takes to walk around the block!
