microsoft yubico annoucementWith more businesses adopting technologies to keep users connected to critical business applications, cybersecurity is more important now than ever. Unfortunately, solutions that were good a few years ago do not protect against modern malware, phishing, or other cyber attacks. One of these major shortcomings is weak authentication requirements, especially in the context of weak passwords. That's why Yubico is working with its partners, like Microsoft, to move beyond passwords and onto hardware-based security keys. These security keys use physical devices like USB flash drives, or other connectors are inserted into a computer to log a user into a system.

Yubico is co-creating global security stands with Microsoft to help drive the business world towards replacing passwords. Businesses enable the strongest form of authentication in their systems by adopting FIDO2 standards into their practice, which support YubiKeys. These YubiKeys work natively with Azure Active Direction, Windows 10, and Microsoft 365 applications.

In conjunction with Microsoft, Yubico is announcing a Go Password Pilot Program where system integrators and consulting services can nominate their customers in Canada, the EU, UK, and the US to trial the Azure Active Directory Passwordless flow. The Pilot requires Windows 10, Azure Active Directory and Yubico's YubiKey 5 series, Microsoft Azure AD MFA enabled users, and integrate Azure AD with Microsoft and 3rd party application; such as Office 365, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
